FRIDAY 24 JULY
6.00 pm – Jazz In Street Band (Argelès-sur-Mer), performing as they wander through the streets
The greatest classics of traditional New Orleans jazz (featuring two singers in the band): Louis Armstrong, Sydney Bechet, Duke Ellington and Henri Salvador – the jazz greats reimagined in a ‘Jazz-Festif’ and ‘Jazz-Créole’ style!
9.30 pm – Marc Hévéa sings Nougaro (Béziers/Montpellier), Place Paul Reig
An incredible encounter! One evening, bathed in a spotlight, Marc Hévéa sang “Cécile” in front of Hélène and Claude Nougaro themselves. Overwhelming emotion, a firm handshake, the joy of a shared moment, pure excitement! You’ll feel all of this in this beautiful tribute to the magnificent and timeless work of the poet from Toulouse. SATURDAY 25 JULY
6.00 pm – Pier Lobo Combo Trio, Espace Méditerranée
A pianist, singer, raconteur and crooner, Pier Lobo has performed in England, Canada and Paris before settling in the South of France. With a solid rhythm section, a top-class trumpeter and a crooning pianist, he guarantees a high-quality, swinging atmosphere. A great admirer of both Ray Charles and Gainsbourg, the singer will delight your ears and even get you up on your feet dancing if the mood takes you!
9.00 pm – Carxofa ft. Radek Knop (Perpignan), Place Paul REIG
The Carxofa project is a jazz ensemble centred on jazz standards, original compositions and strong interaction between the musicians. The project performs as a trio and also as a quartet featuring saxophonist Radek Knop, head of the jazz department at the Perpignan Conservatoire.
The music remains rooted in jazz forms and progressions, with a central focus on listening and on-stage dialogue, making every concert lively and accessible to the audience.
10.30 pm – Why Not Jazz Quintet (Perpignan), Place Paul REIG
Performing as a quintet that evening, Why Not Jazz delivers sensitive and fresh renditions of all the greatest jazz standards. The jazz band moves seamlessly between traditional themes (Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Astrud Gilberto, etc.) and more modern interpretations (Stacey Kent, Lisa Ekdhal, Diana Krall, Esperanza Spalding, etc.), generously sharing their passion for jazz.
SUNDAY 26 JULY
9.00 pm – Harmonie Cérétane (Céret), Place Paul REIG
To the sound of various sections of wind instruments, percussion and guitar, you can listen, dance and even swing along. On the programme: jazz, pasodobles, pop, film music…
