Large fireworks display on the water in the Bay of Banyuls at 10pm.

SATURDAY 29 AUGUST 2026: FIREWORKS SHOW AND BALL
Due to the security measures put in place for the Festa Major,
here are the regulations in force for this event:
- Closure of the harbour channel, swimming and sailing prohibited in the 300m zone from 8pm until the end of the festivities (around 11pm).
A diversion around the town centre will be in place from 9pm:
* Motorists coming from Port-Vendres and heading towards Cerbère will take the following route: Bigeard roundabout / rue G. Clémenceau / av. de la gare / rue des Angles / rue J. Ferry / av. G. Malé / carrer Espolla Rabos / rue Joliot Curie / av. du Fontaulé / av. P. Fabre / av. de la Côte Vermeille then towards Cerbère ;
* Motorists coming from Cerbère and heading towards Port-Vendres will take the following route: av. de la Côte Vermeille / av. Pierre Fabre / av. du Fontaulé / rue Joliot Curie / carrer Espolla Rabos / av. Guy Malé / route du Mas Reig, route du Mas Ventous, rond-point de Pere Carnere then direction Port-Vendres.
* The diversions will be lifted 30 minutes after the end of the festivities in agreement with the police.
No parking :
* No parking from 8.00am on Friday 28 August to 8.00am on Saturday 29 August: rue Joliot Curie from résidence "La Baillaury" to place de la Résistance; and carrer Espolla-Rabos, on both sides of the road.
* Parking banned from 6.00pm on Friday 28 August to 2.00am on Saturday 29 August: blue zones and delivery zones on avenue de la République and blue zones near the town hall on avenue Général de Gaulle.
- The shared meal on the esplanade is open to all! Book a table with your family, friends or even on your own, take a seat, bring your cutlery and picnic and share a great moment of conviviality overlooking the sea.
- The musical entertainment will start at 7pm, stop at 10pm for the fireworks and resume at the end of the fireworks.
