The Skjoldnaes calls again at the port of Banyuls!

The Skjoldnaes is an old wooden sailing ship with the look of a pirate ship that the Eau'tonome association has been refurbishing since March 2023. But the Skjoldnaes is not just an old sailing ship steeped in history. It's "the old boat of the future". It's not a time machine, but a tool for building the future. A future in which human beings interact with joy, poetry and kindness, both with each other and with their environment.

After an initial stopover in Banyuls last April, we're back this week with our 'café du futur', a place to meet and share ideas for a more desirable future.
Our menu is low-tech, plant-based and seasonal, with the emphasis on local produce. Our smoothies and fruit juices will be squeezed using our smoothie bike and our big calves. Our cakes will be baked thanks to the sun.
The aim is not just to demonstrate low-tech, but to show that we can do good things using environmentally-friendly tools born of our imagination. You'll be able to make your own juice or smoothie using your bike or extractor!

There will also be boat tours, readings and board games.
