Concert L'heure musicale by Alain Marinaro's friends, with Italian pianist Vittorio Forte.
The Friends of Alain Marinaro have invited the Italian pianist Vittorio Forte, whom many of you know and admire, to give a recital on Sunday 8 March at 5pm at the Salle Novelty in Banyuls sur Mer. Vittorio Forte surprises and touches with VOLVER, his new album recently released by Mirare. In the form of a musical journey through Latin America, this project is a return to the original singing of a vocation. "VOLVER is not a diversion, it's a return. To my Calabrian adolescence, to my Argentinian masters, and to the emotion that gave me the desire to become a musician."
With VOLVER, Vittorio Forte explores the intimate and vibrant territories of South American music. The programme combines emblematic figures - Piazzolla, Villa-Lobos, Lecuona - with lesser-known but deeply moving composers such as the Chilean Alfonso Leng... "What moves me about these composers is the way they express emotion in a straightforward, sincere way, without ever trying to convince. They write truthfully. In the background, the same quest: that of sincere emotion, which the pianist extends to his own transcriptions of tangos by Carlos Gardel...
