Aquarium 2025 events programme
Summer holidays (5 July to 31 August)
Mind-bending science
Every day at 10.15 am, 2.15 pm and 4.15 pm.
Jellyfish, sometimes fascinating, sometimes frightening, are often the victims of their... stinging image. This summer, follow us to discover this strange animal, generally unknown and unloved, which nevertheless possesses extraordinary abilities.
Why do jellyfish sting? Are there more and more of them? Is this due to climate change? Our mediators will be on hand to answer all your questions.
They will also present the work of the Observatory's researchers and their recent discoveries about these gelatinous organisms with astonishing properties. Thanks to aquariums specially designed to house jellyfish, you can take the time to observe different species, some of which have never before been presented to the general public. Let yourself be mesmerised!
Feeding in the "Sandy coast" tank
Every day at 11.15 am and 3.15 pm.
Watch the animals that live in the "Sandy Coast" tank as they eat. Our scientific mediators will explain the menu of the rays, starfish, sea breams, sea cucumbers and other species that live there. They will also explain their predation techniques in the natural environment and how the aquariology teams look after them at the Aquarium. It's also a perfect introduction to the principle of biodiversity and the richness of the Mediterranean marine environment.
