Discover the beaches of Banyuls
Banyuls offers various beautiful beaches and coves sheltered from the winds suitable for swimming or “lazing around”.
The beaches Centrale, the Elmes and the Centre Hélio Marin (also called Sana) are supervised swimming in summer and the small cove of Troc Pineill is located in the Cerbère-Banyuls Marine Reserve, a paradise for divers.
Continuing on the coastal path, you will walk along this superb wild coastline, two other small coves – Taillelauque and Tancade – real little jewels with crystal clear waters.
the beach and our animal friends
We love animals in Banyuls-sur-Mer, however for cleanliness reasons dogs and other pets are not allowed on the beaches of Banyuls, even tied on a leash, all year round.
On the other hand, the closest beaches where dogs are allowed are Le Racou and La Marenda beach in Argelès-sur-Mer, then in Torreilles (south beach and north beach)
Also, Port-Barcarès and Canet allow them from October to the end of June.
