The Relais Petite Enfance (RPE), formerly known by its acronym “Ram” (Relais Assistants Maternels), has become the essential address for parents in the Albères – Côte Vermille – Illibéris area who are looking for childcare for their child.
In addition, the childcare assistants find there a privileged place of information, listening and orientation.
In line with the expansion of its missions, decided by the law on the acceleration and simplification of public action (known as the Asap law) of December 2020, the childcare centers will become reference points and sources of information for parents and professionals on all types of childcare, including home childcare.
The change of name therefore comes to materialize the uniqueness of the different modes of reception.
Located at 3 allée Ferdinand Buisson in Argelès-sur-Mer, the one-stop shop for information on childcare facilities for 0-3 year olds has been given a slight makeover with a new graphic charter to go with its new name.
A place of information for all
As a prospective parent, it is not always easy to find the right care solution for your child.
The early childhood relay informs parents about the different types of childcare, whether individual or collective, that exist in the territory.
In addition to providing general information, the childcare center also centralizes requests for specific types of care (atypical hours, care for a child with a disability). The relay’s animators direct families towards the type of care that best suits their needs.
The RPE has a complete list of licensed childcare providers in the area for parents who wish to use this type of care.
The facilitators help them with the administrative procedures (work contract; salary slip; etc.) to employ their future childcare provider and inform them about the assistance they can claim.
