Parking and parking lots

In the context of challenges 1 and 2 of the SDGs, it is necessary to rethink our modes of travel in the city. This necessarily involves a reflection on the place of the car in the city. During the citizen consultation, 80% of participants want a calmer city and 81% of those who participated responded that soft travel in the heart of the city should be favored.

To respond to these concerns, several actions are envisaged namely:
– The realization of a territorial resilience project that will notably rethink the traffic plan with an envelope dedicated each year to the realization of soft routes ;
– The reinforcement of the free shuttle service;
– The implementation of a participation to the purchase of electric bikes;
– The realization of a greenway on the outskirts of the Baillaury;
– The realization of a pedestrian plan;
– The development of peripheral parking lots to free up space in the city center;
– The extension of paid parking to facilitate summer parking, since one free space allows for 1 to 2 users, whereas one paid space allows for a turnover of 4 to 8 users.
