Conditions to be a voter

– Be a French citizen or a national of the European Union,
– Be at least 18 years old on February 28 of the year following the application for registration
– enjoy their civil and political rights,
– be domiciled in the commune or be listed for the 5th consecutive time on the communal direct tax roll.

Product Requirements

– National identity card or passport;
– Proof of residence dated less than 3 months (electricity bill…) ;
– Your old electoral card.

Applications for registration are received until December 31 and are not effective until March 1 of the following year.

Don’t forget to report any change of address in the commune.

Proxy Voting

Who may give a proxy (principal)?
Voters who are absent or unable to attend on election day.

– gendarmerie
– police station
– courts

Outside France :
– Consulate
– Embassy

Pieces to provide
– identity document,
– attestation on honor motivating the absence or the impediment.

Print established by the competent Authority.
– form in 3 parts: 1 addressed to the Mayor, 1 certificate on honor to the above authority, 1 receipt to the Principal ;
No part is given to the Agent.

The principal and the proxy must be voters in Banyuls-sur-Mer but not necessarily belong to the same polling station.
