Aquarium 2025 events programme
Spring holidays (12 to 27 April)
Scientific expeditions
BIODIV Scientific expeditions 2025
Every day at 10.15am, 2.15pm and 4.15pm.
This new and original activity will be presented alongside the "From glacier to oasis" exhibition on the forecourt of the Observatory. Put yourself in the boots of a scientist and prepare for a mission on the other side of the globe!
We'll be presenting the work of the Observatory's researchers, who are studying the impact of the melting glaciers of the Kerguelen Islands on the surrounding marine ecosystem. In these extreme landscapes, scientists are collecting a wide range of data (physics, chemistry, glaciology, microbiology). Our visitors will also have the opportunity to sample seawater and take measurements, giving them a hands-on experience of the day-to-day work involved in research.
Feeding the "Sandy coast" tank
BIODIV feeding
Every day at 11.15am and 3.15pm.
Watch the animals that live in the "Sandy Coast" tank as they feed. Our scientific mediators will explain the menu of the rays, starfish, sea breams, sea cucumbers and other species that live there. They will also explain their predation techniques in the natural environment and how the aquariology teams look after them at the Aquarium. It's also a perfect introduction to the principle of biodiversity and the richness of the Mediterranean marine environment.
Jardin 2025 events programme
